Bathymetric distribution: 0–140 m —SW.

Geographical distribution: USA (North Carolina) to Brazil (to RJ; FN, Atol das Rocas, and Abrolhos Islands)— WGD.

Remarks: Reeve (1844) recorded A. zebra from the Pacific Ocean, a species considered distinct from A. zebra of the Atlantic Ocean (MolluscaBase 2023). In the CTFB (2024), A. zebra is considered a synonym of Lamarcka ventricosa (Lamarck, 1819) .
