Bathymetric distribution: 0–52 m —SW.

Geographical distribution: USA (Florida) to Brazil (BA, SP, PR)—C/B.

Remarks: Simone et al. (2015) suggested the exclusion of this species from the lists of Brazilian bivalves, but it is here maintained based on previous records ( Cauqüoin 1967b; Matthews & Rios 1967b).
