Geographical distribution: USA (Massachusetts) to Argentina —WGD.

Remarks: Specimens of this species have been identified as Corbula caribaea d’Orbigny, 1853 (e.g., Rios 1994, 2009; Barroso et al. 2013a; Tallarico et al. 2014), considered a synonym of Caryocorbula swiftiana ( Arruda 2020) .
