Geographical distribution: USA (Florida), West Indies, Caribbean Central America, and Brazil (CE to SC)—C/ B.
Remarks: Specimens of this species have been identified as Corbula cubaniana d’Orbigny, 1853 (e.g., Rios 1994, 2009), considered a synonym of J. aequivalvis by Arruda (2020).
