Type: — TAIWAN. Hsinchu County: Sumakusu, 24°34’50’’N 121°19’40’’E, ca. 1500 m, 9 July 2009, T. H. Hsieh, P. Y. Chiang 3031 (lectotype, designated here: TAI: 277941!; isolectotypes TAI: 277942!, Herbarium of National University of Tainan) GoogleMaps .

Distribution: — Taiwan (Hsinchu).

Nomenclatural notes: —In the original description of Thismia huangii, Chiang & Hsieh (2011) indicated a specimen of the collection Hsieh, Chiang 3031 at TAI as the holotype, and its duplicates at the Herbarium of National University of Tainan as isotypes. However, we have found two duplicates of Hsieh, Chiang 3031 in TAI matching the detailed description and specimen label information included in the protologue. These duplicates should be treated as syntypes in accordance with Art. 9.6 of ICN ( Turland et al. 2018). We selected the specimen with the number 277941 as the lectotype following Arts. 9.3 and 9.11 of ICN ( Turland et al. 2018) as it represents best the species, having several flowers. The other specimen at TAI (277942), as well as the ones at the Herbarium of National University of Tainan (not seen), are isolectotypes.
