( Fig. 5–7 View FIGURES 5 – 7 , 10 View FIGURES 8 – 10 , 17 View FIGURE 17 , 20–21 View FIGURES 18 – 21 )

Diagnosis. Male. Vertex and dorsum of mesosoma rugose; S1 sagittally carinate; S2 anteromedially subtuberculate; cuspis truncate; parameres lobed near apex of aedeagus and distal to apex of basiparameres. Female. Black; head except clypeus and antennal prominence orange.

Description. Male. Head. Rounded, weakly emarginate posteriorly, not narrowed behind eyes; clypeus weakly emarginate, convex with inverted Y-shaped carina, closely punctate basally, depressed, polished and punctate apically; antennal prominence with strongly developed V-shaped carina, strongly produced below carina to antennal insertions; frons transversely carinate, rugose, depressed and sagittally sulcate below transverse carina; vertex rugose, sagittally carinate behind ocelli; gena rugose.

Mesosoma . Pronotum as wide as head, rugose, anterior margin straight, raised, carinate, projecting laterally; mesoscutum rugose; tegulae rugosely punctate basally; mesoscutellum rugose, flat, subtriangular, narrowly truncate posteriorly; metanotum rugosely punctate, below level of mesoscutellum; propodeum obliquely truncate posteriorly, not transversely carinate, rugose anteriorly, transversely rugosely punctate posteriorly; fore closely coxae punctate; mesopleura rugose.

Metasoma. T1–6 closely punctate, sparsely punctate posteriorly; S1 rugosely punctate, S2–7 closely punctate, sparsely punctate posteriorly; gradulus straight and smooth on T2–6, straight and scrobiculate on S3–4, straight and punctate on S5, obscure on S6–7; T1 truncate anteriorly, not tuberculate; S1 medially raised and carinate; S2 anteromedially tuberculate; hypopygium without angulate basal angles; cuspis truncate; paracuspis short.

Colour. Black; ocellar macula orange; wings hyaline.

Length. Body 18–23 mm; fore wing 12–15 mm; hind wing 10–13 mm.

Female. Head. Subrectangular, posterior angles rounded; clypeus truncate, sagittally carinate; frons longitudinally rugosely punctate, sagittally sulcate; vertex longitudinally rugosely punctate, not medially depressed; closely punctate; eyes large and elliptical; mandibles bidentate with small basally directed spine on inner surface.

Mesosoma .. Pronotum weakly convex, not depressed near posterior angles, anterior angles not produced, longitudinally rugosely punctate; mesoscutellum weakly convex, weakly narrowed posteriorly, longitudinally rugosely punctate; propodeum weakly convex, not laterally depressed, punctate posteriorly, not densely setose, longitudinally rugosely punctate dorsally with impunctate anterior margin, impunctate laterally, closely and finely punctate posteriorly.

Metasoma. T1–5 and S1–5 closely and deeply punctate; T1 truncate, anterior angles rounded; T5 and S5 not produced; pygidium subtriangular, not spinose, closely punctate, not tuberculate.

Colour. Black; frons yellowish orange; vertex and gena orange.

Length. Body 15–17 mm.

Distribution. Coast and adjacent ranges of south-western Western Australia from Geraldton to Grass Patch.

Etymology. The specific name is derived from Latin and refers to the similarity of this species to R. depressus sp. nov., R. houstoni sp. nov., R. fulvescens sp. nov. and R. brunneus sp. nov.

Remarks. Males resemble R. schichai sp. nov. which has the dorsal margin of the parameres lobed near apex of basiparameres and proximal to apex of aedeagus, R. houstoni sp. nov. which does not have the clypeus depressed apically or with an inverted Y-shaped carina, and R. depressus sp. nov., R. fulvescens sp. nov. and R. brunneus sp. nov. which have the cuspis bifid and hooked or lobed in profile. Differs from R. corrugatus by: punctation closer and deeper, rugose-punctate on head, mesosoma and S1; clypeus emarginate, with an inverted Y-shaped carina; antennal prominence with strongly developed V-shaped carina, strongly produced below carina to antennal insertions; frons sagittally sulcate below transverse carina; pronotum with anterior margin acutely produced laterally; mesoscutellum flat; propodeum obliquely truncate posteriorly; T1 not tuberculate; S2 anteromedially tuberculate; cuspis truncate; paracuspis of medium length.

Females resemble R. corrugatus which has T1–5 strongly longitudinally multicarinate, and R. houstoni sp. nov. which has the vertex black. Differs from R. corrugatus by: head subrectangular and mostly orange including ventrally; frons and vertex longitudinally rugosely punctate; mandibles weakly bidentate; T1–5 and S1–5 closely and deeply punctate; pygidium subtriangular, not spinose, sparsely punctate.
