Notiocoelotes membranaceus View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs 2–3 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 and 16 View FIGURE 16 )
Type material: Holotype male ( IZCAS), Mt. Limushan Nature Reserve (19.2ºN, 109.7ºE, Alt: 576m), Hainan Island, China, 13 August 2007, Shuqiang Li, Chunxia Wang, Linghui Lin and Jianjun Xu leg. GoogleMaps
Etymology: The specific name is taken from the Latin adjective membranaceus and refers to the membranous median apophysis of this species, adjective.
Diagnosis: The new species can be easily distinguished from other Notiocoelotes species by the unique lateral tibial apophysis and the small, membranous median apophysis ( Figs 2B–C View FIGURE 2 , 3C–D View FIGURE 3 ).
Description. Male holotype: Total length 4.7. Prosoma 2.6 long, 1.85 wide; Opisthosoma 2.1 long, 1.35 wide. AME 0.08; ALE 0.13; PME 0.17; PLE 0.17; AME–AME 0.03; AME–ALE 0.02; ALE–PLE 0.02; PME–PME 0.07; PME–PLE 0.06. Clypeus height 0.07. Leg formula: IV, I, II, III; leg measurements: I: 8.45 (2.15, 2.75, 2.10, 1.45); II: 6.8 (1.85, 2.10, 1.75, 1.10); III: 6.25 (1.90, 1.80, 1.65, 0.90); IV: 8.9 (2.45, 2.90, 2.50, 1.05). Chelicerae with three promarginal and two retromarginal teeth. Palp without patellar apophysis ( Figs 2B–C View FIGURE 2 , 3C–D View FIGURE 3 ); RTA occupies most of tibial length ( Figs 2B–C View FIGURE 2 , 3C–D View FIGURE 3 ); lateral tibial apophysis strongly bifurcate, with distal end of ventral branch strongly curved and approaching the anterior tibial margin ( Figs 2C View FIGURE 2 , 3D View FIGURE 3 ); cymbial furrow short, one-third of cymbial length ( Figs 2C View FIGURE 2 , 3D View FIGURE 3 ); conductor moderately long, extending posteriorly, close to median apophysis ( Figs 2B View FIGURE 2 , 3C View FIGURE 3 ); conductor dorsal apophysis absent ( Figs 2B View FIGURE 2 , 3C View FIGURE 3 ); conductor lamella moderately large ( Figs 2B View FIGURE 2 , 3C View FIGURE 3 ); median apophysis simple, small, membranous ( Figs 2B–C View FIGURE 2 , 3C–D View FIGURE 3 ); embolus with broad base ( Figs 2B–C View FIGURE 2 , 3C–D View FIGURE 3 ).
