Xymenopsis candidatus (Rochebrune & Mabille) – Forcelli (2000: 87)

Locality: Baie Orange, sud du cap Horn; profondeur, de 5m à 120m (Mission du cap Horn).”

Remarks: Forcelli (2000: 87) reproduced the original figure among species of doubtful identity. Fusus [sic] candidatus Rochebrune & Mabille [sic] listed by Pastorino & Harasewych (2000: 39) as belonging in the buccinid genus Pareuthria Strebel, 1905b .

Xymenopsis dispar (Rochebrune & Mabille) – Forcelli (2000: 87)

Locality: Baie Orange, profondeur 21m; baie d’Awaïakihr, profondeur 25m (Mission du cap Horn).” Remarks: Forcelli (2000: 87) reproduced the original figure among species of doubtful identity. Fusus [sic] dispar Rochebrune & Mabille [sic] listed by Pastorino & Harasewych (2000: 39) as belonging to a “different muricid genus, not Xymenopsis View in CoL .”

Locality: “ Santa Cruz (Lebrun), Magellan (Mission du cap Horn).”

Remarks: Placed in synonymy of Xymenopsis muriciformis ( King & Broderip, 1832) by Pastorino & Harasewych (2000: 45).

Remarks: In Powell’s list of species assigned to the new genus Xymenopsis . An error for Trophon loebbeckei Kobelt, 1878 .

Locality: “Baie Orange.”

Remarks: Forcelli (2000: 83) reproduced the original figure among species of doubtful identity. Placed in synonymy of Xymenopsis muriciformis ( King & Broderip, 1832) by Pastorino & Harasewych (2000: 45).

Concholepas patagonicus Mabille & Rocheburne in Rochebrune & Mabille, 1889: H.63, pl. 2, fig. 6. Locality: “Cap Horn.”

Remarks: Placed in synonymy of Concholepas concholepas (Bruguière, 1789) by Castellanos & Landoni (1993: 19).
