Pteropsiella Spruce View in CoL
This genus is represented by two species in the Neotropics, P. frondiformis Spruce and P. metzgeriiformis Spruce ex Steph. ( Söderström et al. 2016; Flora do Brasil 2020). These species are distributed mainly in the North and Southeast regions of the country, in the Amazonia and Atlantic Forest biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020). Our record of P. metzgeriiformis is the first from the Brazil- ian Cerrado, the Northeast Region, and Maranhão.
