BASIONYM:— Campylodiscus hardmanianus var. grovii Deby (1891: 69)
TYPE:— RUSSIA, ‘Derbend’, Caspian Sea ( BM Adams GC829 , ‘ C. daemelianus | Derbend | E.G.[rove]’, label on reverse side: ‘ Campyl.[odiscus] hardmanianus Grev. [ille] in litt.!’, holotype (four specimens with additional fragments) ; BM 53492 (Deby slide: ‘Derbent’, Caspian Sea , isotypes, Figures 21-22 View FIGURES 19–29 ) .
The only relevant Grove slide for the ‘ C. Hardmanianus var. Grovii ’ is BM Adams GC 829 ( Figures 19-20 View FIGURES 19–29 ), its label having: ‘ C. daemelianus | Derbend | E.G.[rove]’, and on the additional label added later to the reverse side of the slide: ‘ Campylodiscus hardmanianus Greville in litt.!’. This should be the holotype. ‘Slide 236’ has not been traced.
