Diagnostic characters. Solitary, erect, 20–35 m tall woody palm tree; trunk 70–80 cm in diameter. Leaf bi- pinnate, 7–8 m long, at the top, spreading; rachis greenbrown; primary pinnae alternate, gradually short towards apex; secondary pinnae 18–22 in number per side, jagged apex not elongated.

Distribution. Dima Hasao district; prefers sun exposed hilly areas.
