Distribution. Nearctic, recorded from A/S ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: BC, AB, LB, MB, NF, NT, ON, QC, SK, YT. USA: AK, NH.
Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were captured in the northern/boreal portion of NH from alder and grass litter, birch/fir litter, in litter by stream, and by sifting Alnus and Spirea litter. Collected from May to September. In Canada recorded from mixed woods, deciduous birch-dominated or aspen-dominated forests, deciduous stands with developing white spruce understories, and fir forests; also taken in riparian habitats. Adults found in forest litter, rotting fungi, mosses including Sphagnum spp. , rotten logs, in lining of deserted beaver lodge, and in nest of Larus marinus L. (black-backed gull) ( Klimaszewski et al. 2006, 2018).
