Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: MB, NB, NS, ON, QC. USA: CT, DC, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, TN, VA, VT, WI, WV.
Collection and Habitat data. The NH and ME specimens were captured by flight intercept and window traps in forests, and in forest litter, in a mass of mushrooms on a large stump, and in Russula mushrooms. Collected from May to October in NH. In Canada found in hardwood and mixed forests; in mature red spruce and red maple forest. Adults were taken on/in gilled mushrooms on the forest floor and stumps, on Pleurotus species growing on a log, on polypore (bracket) fungus on side of log, in Porodaedalea piceina (Peck) Niemalä on a dead standing beech tree, on Russula delica Fr. , in decaying mushrooms, and on white fungus on white birch ( Klimaszewski et al. 2009c, 2018).
