Type Locality: Borneo, Sarawak, Baram Dist., Apoh River at base of Mt. Batu Song.

Vernacular Names: Slender Treeshrew.

Subspecies Tupaia gracilis subsp. inflata Lyon 1906

Distribution: Borneo below 1,200 m, including Sabah and Sarawak ( Malaysia) and Kalimantan ( Indonesia) except SE; west to islands of Karimata, Belitung, and Bangka, and north to Banggi Isl.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
