Lectotype (Stearn, Introd. Linnaeus’ Sp. Pl. (Ray Soc. ed.): 47. 1957): [icon] " Helxine caule erecto, aculeis reflexis exasperato " in Linnaeus, Hort. Cliff.: 151, t. 12. 1738.

Current name: Persicaria sagittata (L.) H. Gross  ( Polygonaceae  ).

Note: Reveal (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 92: 169. 1986) indicated a Clifford sheet (BM) as lectotype, but this choice is pre-dated by that of Stearn.
