Genus Paralidia Nielson View in CoL
Medium size, slender species, male 5.50–6.90 mm, female 7.25–8.00 mm. General color light to deep fuscous, sometimes with black markings and/or large translucent spots on forewings; head narrower than pronotum; crown very narrow, narrower than width of eyes, anterior margin produced beyond anterior margin of eyes; lateral margins carinate; pronotum and mesonotum small, length of each shorter than crown; clypeus long, narrow; male pygofer with paired caudal processes; subgenital plate always pilose; aedeagus tubular, with shaft between base and subapex always glabrous, apex with 1–3 spines.
Remarks. The genus is distinguished from Armatoralidia by the small pronotum and mesotum, and by the glabrous shaft of the aedeagus between base and subapex.
