AK Fjellberg 1985; Skidmore 1995; Christiansen & Bellinger 1998; Babenko & Fjellberg 2006
Remarks: A high degree of morphological variation in this species is highlighted in the original description. Three marked forms “appear to form discrete steps in a north-south morphological cline. In view of the high age of
the biota in this area, the formation of distinct subspecies in Alaska Range, Brook Range and North Slope seems quite possible” ( Fjellberg 1985, p. 15). Further study is needed to confirm this supposition. General distribution: Nearctic and Eastern Palaearctic.
