Current name: Solanum nigrum L. var virginicum L. View in CoL ( Solanaceae ).

Note: While several authors (e.g. Henderson in Contr. Queensland Herb. 16: 35. 1974) have suggested that the name is based on the cited Dillenius element, no explicit typification appears to have been made until now.
