( Figs. 1–19 View Figs View Figs View Figs , 24 View Figs , 27, 29–34 View Figs View Figs , 37 View Figs , 45 View Figs )
Enoplium rufipes Klug 1842: 362 . Type locality: Salto Grande , Brazil. The number of specimens available to Gorham when he made his description is unknown. Therefore, I invoke Recommendation 73F of the ICZN (1999) and designate a lectotype labeled “Salto Grande” and deposited in ZMHB.
Pelonium zonatum Thomson 1860:66 . New synonymy.
Pelonium rufipes (Klug) : Gorham 1877: 419; Schenkling 1903: table 2, fig. 11.
Lasiodera rufipes (Klug) : Corporaal 1950: 278; Solervicens 2008: 593; Opitz 2017: 63.
Diagnosis. Specimens of this species are superficially similar to those of L. ruficollis and L. trifasciata . They differ from L. ruficollis by having a black forebody and from L. trifasciata by having red legs and a more coarsely punctate pronotal disc.
