Redescription.—Head ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ): about half as long as pronotum; narrowing posteriorly into a long neck; subantennal spines present; genae without a spine; eyes not surpassing upper margins of head; interocular suture present; first rostral segment 1.13–1.50 longer than second; antennae long and slender. Pronotum wider than long, subpentagonal; anterior lobe unspined; longitudinal sulcus faint anteriorly, deep posteriorly, reaching posterior lobe; anterolateral angles protuberant; posterior lobe with two humeral large spines carinated on the posterior edge; upper surface of pronotal lobes at different levels. Scutellar angles rounded; scutellum reduced and flat, carinated, with flat projection, principal body reduced and flat. Hemelytra passing apex of abdomen. Legs without spines, moderately long; apices of femora slightly incurved with 1 + 1 short blunt lateral projections, fore femur in dorsal view basally incrassate, gradually narrowing to apex; fore tibia curved, with a small preapical spur small apical pad of setae. Abdomen: widening posteriorly.
Distribution.—Neotropical region: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela.

Redescription: Head light brown and brown not homogeneously pigmented, pilosity and hairs light brown granulated, without rugosities and hairs scattered throughout the surface; eyes reniform; ocelli on a tubercle; antenna I yellowish except dark brown medially, II basally yellowish, distally dark brown, III brown with orange tonalities. Rostrum dark brown except I and II light brown ventrally, and internally only in I with reduced pilosity, wthout granulations and rugosities.
Pronotum: Anterior lobe dark brown and light brown, with pilosities. Posterior lobe dark brown with posterior margen yellowish, with pilosities, hairs, no rugosities or granulations (in one specimen with two lighter zones laterally). Scutellum: brown, except posterior process and edges light brown, with pilosities and hairs. Pleura yellow and dark brown; prosterna yellow and brown medially; meso- and metasterna yellowish, with pilosities.
Fore leg brown; fore coxa light brown or brown except dark brown stripe laterally; fore tarsus light brown (in some specimens). Mid and hind femora brown, medially light brown, mid and hind tibiae and tarsi brown (in some specimen all brown). Abdomen: Connexival segments: basally light brown, rest dark brown; abdomen light brown and brown, not homogeneously pigmented (in some specimens), with pilosities and hairs.
Macropterous form brown. Hemelytra: corium and clavus densely pilose.
