Distribution. USA, Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Venezuela.
Distribution in Colombia. Cundinamarca.
Remarks. Cosmopepla coeruleata has the frenum nearly 0.3 times the length of the scutellum, the body is broadly oval, and the apex of the paramere has a thumb-like process.
