Distribution. Mexico to Argentina.
Distribution in Colombia. Amazonas, Boyacá, Caldas, Casanare, Chocó, Cundinamarca, Meta, Tolima, and Valle del Cauca.
Remarks. Edessa rufomarginata has the first labial segment longer than the bucculae.
