Material examined. Holotype female, Nyahururu ( Thompson Falls ), Central Province, altitude 2500m, May 5, 2006 (El-Banhawy).
Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 290 long, 190 wide, with seven pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 27, j3 42, j4 24, j5 20, j6 24, J2 24, J5 12, z2 32, z4, 41, z5 20, Z1 30, Z4 52, Z5 64, s4 63, S2 48, S4 30, S5 25, r3 37, R1 25, JV5 46. Setae Z 4 and Z5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, slightly concave posteriorly, distances between St I-St III 60 , St II-St II 66 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 79 wide. Ventri-anal shield smooth, 110 long, 80 wide, with a pair of small round pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with eight teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx bell-shaped, 12 long, 6 wide near atrium, 10 wide near vesicle, atrium globular, 4 long. Macrosetae, Sge IV 37 , Sti IV 25 , St IV 43 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 1, 2/1, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. The chaetotaxy of the dorsal shield and genu II in this species is similar to N. angolensis Ueckermann et al .. However, the longer peritreme, shorter S5, pre-anal pores, presence of macrosetae on genu and tibia IV and details of spermatheca of this species separate it from N. angolensis . The male is unknown.
