Material examined. Kenya, 4 females , Malindi, July 18, 2005, July 22, 2005 (El-Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield 310 long, 177 wide, with lateral striations and six pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 21, j3 25, j4 9, j5, j6 7, J2 9, J5 7, z2 18, z4 14, z5 7, Z1 9, Z4 44, Z5 58, s4 40, S2 18, S4 112, S5 9, r3 24, R1 14, JV5 48. Setae Z 4, Z5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, posterior margin straight, distances between St I-St III 60 , St II- St II 58 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 60 wide. Ventri-anal shield 163 long, 70 wide (L/W ratio 1.5: 1), with a pair of small crescentic pre-anal pores close to each other and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with three teeth, movable digit with one tooth. Spermatheca calyx elongate, 40 long, flared toward vesicle, atrium enlarged, 4 long, with two short lips. Macrosetae, Sge IV 42 , Sti IV 21 , St 40. Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/1, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Malindi, Coast province, Kenya, November 30, 1989 (Moraes et al., 1989). The male is unknown.
