Material examined. Kenya, 5 females, Kiamugongo , Central province, altitude 1500 m, July 10, 2004; 1 female, Mt . Kenya, altitude 1500 m, July 12, 2004; 3 females, Nyaundo Island , Nyanza Province, altitude 1300 m, December 7, 2005, (El-Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield sculptured with anterior striations, 330 long, 195 wide, with eight pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae, j1 28, j3 35, j4 16, j5 18, j6 21, J2 23, J5 9, z2 25, z4 39, z5 22, Z1 26, Z4 50, Z5 74, s4 48, S2 44, S4 35, r3 28, R1 22, JV5 58. Setae j3, Z4, Z5, s4, S2, S4, JV5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth with posterior lobe, distances between St I-St III 60 , St II-St II 60 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 83 wide. Ventri-anal shield constricted laterally, 100 long, 55 wide, with a pair of elliptical pre-anal pores slightly posterior to JV2 and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with nine teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx base bulbus, 16 long, followed by narrow neck gradually flared distally, atrium nodular, 3 long. Macrosetae blunt distally, Sge II 18 , Sge III 20 , Sti III 16 , Sge IV 41 , Sti IV 23 , St IV 58 . Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Gossipium, Kaidundjua, Mozambique, March 1964, M. K. P. Meyer ( Meyer & Rodrigues, 1966). Three paratypes were collected from the same plant, Mozambique, 1964. It has also been recorded from Benin, and DRC ( Moraes et al., 2006).
