Material examined. Kenya, 2 females, Mt . Kenya, Gachurimi , Embu side, altitude 1993m, July 17, 2004; 10 females, Taita Hills, altitude 1600 m, July 2, 2007; 3 females, Kakamega rain forest, altitude 1600 m, July 22, 2007 (El-Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield smooth 320 long, 195 wide. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 20, j3 28, j4, j5 6, j6 12, J2 14, J5 5, z2, z4 12, z5 8, Z1 12, Z4 48, Z5 70, s4 25, S2 12, S4, S5 9, r3, R1 12, JV5 40. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 53 , St II-St II 53 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 70 wide. Ventri-anal shield pentagonal, constricted laterally, 105 long, 78 wide, with a pair of elliptical pre-anal pores mesad to JV2 and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with seven teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx short, cap shaped 7 long, 9 wide, atrium 3 long. Macrosetae, Sge II 24 , Sge III 23 , Sti III 28 , Sge IV 41 , Sti IV 35 , St 74. Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. The female holotype was collected from DRC, Stanleyville (“Kisangani”, April 19, 1955, E. W. Baker ( Pritchard & Baker, 1962). It has also been recorded from Cameroon, 4 females, February 5, 1991 (L. Louis). The male is unknown.
