NOTES: Rhaphium View in CoL is known from all realms except Australasia and Oceania and reaches its highest species number in the temperate and arctic areas of the Holarctic. In the Nearctic, it is the third largest genus next to Dolichopus View in CoL and Chrysotus View in CoL (see Table 2). Many species emerge early in the season and are found in moist habitats such as humid woodlands, river banks, and pond margins.
