Specimen examined. 1 female, SE slope, St. A, alt. 1,287 m, by SWA, 21. viii .
Remarks. The genus Pseudophanias was established for the type species, P. malaianus Raffray, 1890 described from Penang Is., Malaysia. It is characterized by the middle- to largesized and stout body, very small and symmetrical maxillary palpus with fusiform parpomere 4.
