Genus Davacarus Hunter

Type species. Davacarus gressetti Hunter, 1970 .

Diagnosis. With the characteristics of the family and genital opening/ ovipore of female covered by three shields: mesogynial shield well developed, subtriangular to subtrapezoidal in shape; latigynial shields large, indistinct, covering pregenital region and bearing two pairs of setae; pregenital shield absent. Endogynial complex with pair of elongate-oval punctate regions. Dorsal setae acuminate, simple to barbed. Four pairs of large, sessile lateral opisthosomal glands present. Male genital valve subcircular, with or without setae.
