Peromyia podolica Berest, 1991 View in CoL —new junior synonym of Peromyia fungicola (Kieffer, 1901)
Material studied: holotype male, with the data specified in the original description ( Berest 1991b).
What was said above for P. emarginata applies similarly to P. podolica . In the differential diagnosis of P. podolica ( Berest 1991b) it is stated that the necks of the male flagellomeres are shorter in P. podolica than in P. fungicola . The facts prove otherwise: in both P. podolica ( Berest 1991b: fig. 1) and P. fungicola ( Jaschhof 1998: fig. 218e) the flagellomere necks are slightly longer than the nodes.
