Deposition. NIBRPR0000111047.
World distribution. Cosmopolitan.
Diagnosis. Cells are 20-35 μm long with a truncated apical plate; pellicle thin and inconspicuously notched, with ridges located longitudinally along ciliary rows. There are 10-15 somatic kineties; somatic kinety 1 usually shortened, posterior end extending at about 3/4 to 4/5 of the cell. The oral apparatus is typical of the genus. The membranelle 1 is clearly separated from other membranelles.
