Type material. CHINA: Holotype Ƌ, Mt. Zhenzhu, Wuyuan , Jiangxi Province, 25.vi.1989, leg. Guangpu Shen, genitalia slide no. L94339 View Materials .
Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 28 − 33 ) with wingspan 11.0 mm. This species is superficially similar to E. catarina ( Ponomarenko, 1994) , and the differences between them are stated under the latter species. The male genitalia of E. shenae resemble those of E. subtegulifera ( Ponomarenko, 1994) . Encolapta shenae can be separated by the straight valvella and the corniform juxta ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 42 − 47 ); in E. subtegulifera , the valvella is curved outward and the juxta is trapezoidal ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 34 − 41 ).
Distribution. China (Jiangxi).
