Erythrolychnia medranoae Kazantsev & Perez-Gelabert View in CoL [unjustified emendation by de Armas & Madruga 2018: 278]
DISTRIBUTION: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Independencia ( Kazantsev & Perez-Gelabert 2009; Perez-Gelabert 2011b; de Armas & Madruga 2018; Perez-Gelabert 2020)
TYPE LOCALITY: Dominican Republic, Independencia , P.N. Sierra de Bahoruco
TYPE DEPOSITORY: MHNDSD
REMARKS: Perez-Gelabert (2020) notes Pedernales as the type locality, while Kazantsev & Perez-Gelabert (2009) notes Independencia. The species epithet “medranoi” is an incorrect Latinization according to ICZN Art. 31.1.2, but incorrect Latinization is not the same thing as incorrect spelling, as the Code defines it, and incorrect Latinization is explicitly NOT subject to emendation, following ICZN Art. 32.5.1.
