Notes: There are 52 valid species of Gabronthus View in CoL distributed worldwide, but only three of them have been reported from the Neotropical region (Caribbean islands), all of them as adventive species ( Frank 1983, Peck 2005). The current concept of the genus is that of Smetana (1995: 478).
