Neotype ( Jørgensen & al. in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 115: 356, 381. 1994): Sweden. Uppland, Värmdö, Hasseludden, Aug 1907, G.O.A. Malme (Malme Lich. Suec. Exs. 66) (UPS).

Current name: Melanelia stygia (L.) Essl.  ( Parmeliaceae  ).
