Genus Eburodesmus Schubart, 1955, stat. revalid. View in CoL

Type-species.

Eburodesmus erectus Schubart, 1955

Diagnosis.

Both gonopodal coxae and gonocoel very large; telopodite only barely exposed, but complex (this possibly being in correlation that each coxa has a protective apicolateral process), with two strong branches (ab and bb); seminal groove long and forming a conspicuous loop before moving onto a caudally located solenomere (Figure 2E).

Remarks.

This genus is among the most advanced representatives of Afrotropical Trichopolydesmidae . Mauriès and Heymer (1996: 168) regarded it as a subgenus of Sphaeroparia .
