Specimens examined. Total: 2 3. Colombia, Bolivar Dept., Puerto Colombia, 9°43'N, 74°26'W, 93 m, 11 xii 1916, leg. J.H. & E.B. Williamson, deposited in RWG.

Diagnosis. The linear, decumbent cercus ( Figs. 20 a, 21a) resembles that of L. lucifer ( Fig. 20 d, 21d) but the tip is more blunt and is not as long as in the latter species. We have been unable to diagnose females of L. buchholzi from L. lucifer . Jürg De Marmels illustrated the paratype female and its pronotum and mesostigmal plates ( Figs. 2 a, 3a) mirror those for L. lucifer ( Figs. 2 d, 3d).

Dimensions. Males (n = 2): Hw 15.4–15.7; abdomen 29.5–30.0; total length 36. Females: none available.

Distribution. Venezuela and Colombia ( Fig. 27 ).
