Distribution: Southern Africa: 4 species; A. braunsii (Hesse) , A. culicoides (Hesse) ( Namibia) , A. namaquaensis (Hesse) , A. punctipennis Wiedemann. A further 3 species are being described in Lamas et al. (2001).
