Genus Aniibius Gaud and Atyeo, 1990
Type species: Aniibius drepanophorus Gaud and Atyeo, 1990 , by original designation.
This genus has so far included a single species, Aniibius drepanophorus Gaud and Atyeo, 1990 , described from two South American cuckoos, Crotophaga ani (type host) in Trinidad and C. sulcirostris in Mexico ( Gaud and Atyeo 1990). The main diagnostic feature of this genus differentiating it from the closest genus Aniacarus is the asymmetric ambulacral disc of tarsus I.
