Kurtomathrips morrilli Moulton, 1927: 188 View in CoL .

This species was described from Arizona in the USA and is widely distributed in southern United States. Unlike other members of the genus, this species has become distributed out of its native range, and is recorded from India ( Bhatti et al. 1999), new Saudi Arabia, and although intercepted by plant quarantine in Japan ( Masumoto 2010) it is not actually recorded in that country.
