This old World genus comprises two species, in Africa, India ( Palmer 1990), and Middle East ( Yemen and UAE)
(zur Strassen 2004; zur Strassen & van Harten 2006). The genus is unique among Thripinae genera for the presence of 4–5 pairs of ocellar setae.
