Hercothrips sudanensis Bagnall and Cameron, 1932: 415 View in CoL .
This is an Afrotropical species, described from Sudan ( Wilson 1975), and is recorded from South Africa, ( Wilson 1975), Yemen (zur Strassen 2004) and new to Saudi Arabia. It is similar to the Indian C. luckmanni View in CoL in general appearance and body features and females are difficult to distinguish. However, the males have prominent distinct characters, as discussed under C. luckmanni View in CoL .
Material studied. Al Baha. Aqiq, Wadi Liyan , three males from beans, 23.ix.2020, ( BT) .
