Psilothrips Hood View in CoL View at ENA
This genus has a remarkable disjunct distribution between Western USA and the Mediterranean area ( Minaei & Mound 2015). The genus encompasses five species, with one recorded from Arabian Peninsula including Saudi Arabia. The species are unique amongst Thripinae in having a pair of long setae arising medially on the antecostal ridge of tergites III–VII.
