Protaphorura armata ( Tullberg, 1869) , was found in moss on soil.

Distribution: Probably cosmopolitan, already recorded from Algeria ( Denis, 1937, Cassagnau, 1963, Stomp, 1974, 1983, Hamra Kroua & Cancela da Fonseca, 2009).
