Diagnosis. The forewing length is 15.0–16.0 mm in males and 21.5–22.5 mm in females. The new species is superficially very similar to the nominate subspecies of B. striata and the reliable identification requires the examination of the genitalia structures. The male genital capsule of B. evrys sp. n. differs from that of B. striata in the longer, distally broader and apically trapezoid medial costal process (it has a claw-like tip in the congener) and the longer basal saccular process (in proportion to the length of the valva) in the valva. Additionally, the valva of the new species is somewhat medially broader than in B. striata , and the distal saccular process is slightly shorter. The phallus of B. evrys sp. n. is somewhat longer than in B. striata (in proportion to the tegumen-uncus complex length). Compared to B. striata , the vesica of the new species is longer and broader and has a markedly longer and broader 1 st medial diverticulum. The 3 rd medial diverticulum of B. evrys sp. n. is broader and somewhat longer than in B. striata and bears larger cornuti basally, and the 5 th medial diverticulum bears lager cornuti. The female genitalia of the two species are similar but in B. evrys sp. n., the apophyses anteriores are conspicuously shorter, the ductus bursae is more dilated posteriorly, and the appendix bursae is longer and somewhat narrower (in proportion to the ductus bursae size).

Distribution. Central and South Vietnam, South-East Thailand and Cambodia (as B. striata: Bae et al. 2016 ; Bayarsaikhan et al. 2018).

Etymology. ‘Evrys’ is a Latin transliteration of the Greek ‘ευρύς’ meaning ‘broad’. The specific epithet refers to the vesica and the valva of the new species which are broader than in the similar B. striata .
