Type locality. Aragua, Ocumare de la Costa, Puerto Ocumare, E of (19PFM3459), near sea level, Venezuela.
Bionomics. The type specimen of Sa. conditus was collected as a larva from a small hole located 0.6 m above ground level in the trunk of a leguminous tree ( Moses et al. 2000) together with Culex (Anoedioporpa) conservator Dyar & Knab, 1906b . In the present study, females were frequently collected biting humans at ground level in forest during the daytime ( Coleção de Culicidae 2023).
Arbovirus infection records. None.
Occurrence in Brazil. States of Amazonas, Mato Grosso *, Minas Gerais *, Paraná and Rondônia ( Moses et al. 2000; Hutchings et al. 2011; Silva et al. 2019).
