Comparative notes. Anchocerus giganteus is similar to A. pengzhongi Hu & Li, 2012 in general appearance, but can be separated by coarser punctation of the head, by the shorter temples (twice as long as eyes) and by the paramere of the aedeagus with two short branches.
Distribution. The species is widely distributed in southeast China, in the following city or provinces: Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi and Guangdong.
