Habitus as in Fig. 12B View FIGURE 12 . Reddish brown or darker; head, median dorsal portion of pronotum and abdomen blackish brown; antennomeres I–II and base of antennomere III rufo-testaceous, antennomeres IV–XI infuscate; elytra blackish brown, with obscure oblique fusiform reddish brown maculae, extending from shoulder toward suture in middle; tarsi yellowish. Pubescence pale, dense and recumbent on whole body.

Head subtriangular, coarsely and sparsely punctate, widest across eyes; eyes moderately prominent, 2.60 times longer than temples; ocelli distinct, distance between ocelli 2.30 times as long as distance between ocellus and inner margin of the compound eye. Antennae short, relative lengths of the antennomeres I–XI: 1.54: 1.08: 1.08: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1: 1.08: 1.08: 1.54.

Pronotum subcordate and somewhat convex in dorsal view, apparently transverse widest at anterior middle, with discal impression; lateral margins arcuate, with very deep foveae at middle, then narrowing anteriad and posteriad; punctation and pubescence similar to that of head. Scutellum subtriangular, finely and densely punctate.

Elytra subtrapezoidal, gradually dilated posteriorly, posterior angles broadly rounded, with crescent-shaped deep impression; punctation and pubescence distinctly finer and sparser than those on pronotum.

Abdomen broad, widest at segment IV, distinctly narrowed posteriorly; surface of each tergite somewhat closely covered with very fine punctation, with distinct microsculpture; middle of the tergites IV and V with pair of tomentose patches.

Male. Apical margin of tergite VIII ( Fig. 13G View FIGURE 13 ) with weak concavity; sternite VIII ( Fig. 13H View FIGURE 13 ) transverse, apical margin strongly concave; median lobe of aedeagus ( Figs 15 View FIGURE 15 D–F) wide apically, slightly shorter than parameres; parameres somewhat asymmetrical.

Female. Sternite VIII without concave apical margin, otherwise similar to males.

Comment. The original description is based on a female specimens collected in Mt. Qinling, Shaanxi ( Rougemont 2000). The above records from Hebei represent new provincial records ( Fig. 33 View FIGURE 33 ). For illustrations of L. rufimarginata see Figs 17B View FIGURE 17 , 18 View FIGURE 18 G–H, 20D–F and Rougemont (2000: fig. 11).
