Historic records:

—Bailundo (HUA) ( Moser 1912);

— Angola (without locality) ( Ferreira 1965).

Material examined: none.

Remarks. The species was originally described from Angola ( Moser 1912). Some ecological data for the close relative species Cosmesthes lineatocollis Kraatz, 1880 was provided by Mudge et al. (2012), but nothing is known for C. flavosparsa .
