Diagnosis. Body length approximately 3.0 mm; apterous pronotum almost completely covering mesonotum; male hind femur almost as long or longer than body, often exaggeratedly long (Moreira 2012).

New records. BRAZIL — Rio de Janeiro • Silva Jardim , shallow pool on road outside the park; −22.5297, −42.3221; 24. III.2015; FFF Moreira, IRS Cordeiro, JMS Rodrigues, TS Martins leg.; 1 male, 7 females, CEIOC 81272 GoogleMaps .
